STARZ Loses Faith in "American Gods"
"American Gods", the live action TV drama adaptation of the 2001 novel by Neil Gaiman, starring Ricky Whittle and Ian McShane has been canceled at STARZ following a season three finale episode March 21, 2021 that showed 'Shadow Moon' killed after a vigil at the 'Tree of Life' for his deceased and estranged father, 'Mr. Wednesday'/'Odin':
"...in the beginning, 'Shadow Moon' meets a strange man named 'Mr. Wednesday' (Ian McShane) after being released from prison and soon becomes embroiled in a large-scale conflict between the 'Old Gods' and the 'New Gods', who grow stronger each day..."
Cast also includes Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Crispin Glover, Omid Abtahi, Demore Barnes, Peter Stormare, Sakina Jaffrey, Dean Winters, Devery Jacobs, Kahyun Kim, Derek Theler, Laura Bell Bundy and Christian Lloyd. Season Three cast included Blythe Danner, Ashley Reyes, Herizen Guardiola, Eric Johnson, Dominique Jackson, Crispin Glover, Danny Trejo, Marilyn Manson, Lela Loren, Julia Sweeney, Wale and Iwan Rheon.
