Toronto Warms Up To The "Lingerie Football League"

Sneak Peek the "Lingerie Football League, LLC." (LFL) Toronto try-out warm-ups, for the upcoming "Toronto Triumph" franchise team.

The Toronto Triumph will be a prelude to the LFL's Canadian league, set to kickoff in 2012 with six market teams competing in a twelve week season, leading up to the first-ever "Canadian Lingerie Bowl" set to be played Grey Cup weekend at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto.

Canadian markets will join the Toronto Triumph as part of the inaugural season of play, with Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Montreal, Hamilton and Ottawa in consideration.

Toronto Triumph hosted their first 'Open Tryout Football Combine', Saturday, April 30 @ SoccerWorld, Polson Pier, 4pm-7pm.

Hang Out With "The Dating Guy"

"Toronto Triumph" Scores For The "Lingerie Football League"

The Las Vegas-based "Lingerie Football League, LLC." (LFL) reports that Toronto's Ricoh Coliseum has been chosen as the host arena for the newly named "Toronto Triumph" team:

Detective Jessica "King" Always Gets Her Man

Sneak Peek the new poster supporting the upcoming Canadian produced TV series "King".

Actress Amy Price-Francis ("Californication") stars as 'Jessica King', a seasoned police officer turned lead investigator for Toronto’s 'Major Crimes Task Force' :

'Tom Mason' Survives The "Falling Skies"- July 13, 2011

Dark Horse Comics' "Falling Skies" adapting the upcoming alien invasion TV series from executive producer Steven Spielberg, will be available July 13, 2011, written by Paul Tobin, with illustrations and cover by Juan Ferreyra and Andrew Dalhouse :

There are two types of aliens in the series named 'Skitters' and 'Mechs'. Combining live action and SFX, the Skitters have spider-like bodies, while the robotic Mechs stand upright and can shoot bullets from their arms.

Along with Spielberg, "Falling Skies" is executive produced by DreamWorks TV's Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. Robert Rodat ("Saving Private Ryan") wrote the pilot from an idea he co-conceived with Spielberg. Mark Verheiden ("Battlestar Galactica") and Greg Beeman ("Smallville") are co-executive producers, with the pilot directed by Carl Franklin ("Out of Time").

Cinram Renews Service Deal With Fox

Toronto-based Cinram report they have signed a new multi-year contract with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Under the renewed service agreements Cinram will continue to serve as the primary supplier for replication/distribution services for the studio across North America and Europe.

Cinram and Fox's 14-year relationship started with VHS, to the launch of DVD and with the mainstream adoption of Blu-ray Discs.

"...The resulting centralized manufacturing/distribution model offers a state-of-the-art dissemination of product with great success across the supply chain..."

Sony And MGM Target "Bond 23"

Sony Pictures Entertainment and MGM will co-finance, theatrically market and distribute "Bond 23" worldwide, according to MGM Co-Chairmen, Chief Executive Officers Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum and Sony Pictures Chairman, CEO Michael Lynton and Co-Chairman Amy Pascal.

Sony Pictures and MGM said the studios look forward to Sony Pictures co-financing and distributing "Bond 24" on a similar basis. Additionally, MGM and Sony Pictures have agreed to explore co-financing opportunities on future motion pictures produced by each of the respective studios for the next five years.

The two studios have collaborated directly and indirectly in recent years on numerous films, including "Casino Royale", "Quantum of Solace" and "The Pink Panther".

The announcement of the agreement to distribute "Bond 23" adds another high-profile title to Sony’s 2012 slate, which also includes "Men in Black 3", "The Amazing Spider-Man", "21 Jump Street", "Resident Evil 5" and "Total Recall".

"Sony Pictures is the ideal studio partner for us as MGM re-enters the filmmaking business," said Barber and Birnbaum.

"In addition to working together on Bond, this deal expands our relationship with MGM as we explore co-financing opportunities on other high-profile projects," said Lynton.

"After successfully working on the re-launch of the James Bond franchise with 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum of Solace,' we could not be more proud or privileged to continue our association with Barbara Broccoli, Michael G. Wilson, Daniel Craig, and the talented teams at EON and MGM," said Pascal.

Sony released "Casino Royale" earned $599 million in worldwide ticket sales and "Quantum of Solace" generated $577 million.
