"Hot Docs": "Invisible City" by Hubert Davis- May 2...

"Invisible City", the story of two friends in Toronto, is having its world premiere tonight @ Toronto's "Hot Docs", directed/edited by Oscar-nominated film-maker Hubert "Hardwood" Davis, produced by Mehernaz Lentin and the National Film Board's Gerry Flahive, Silva Basmajian, written by Sondra Kelly, Hubert Davis and Mehernaz Lentin. DP is Christopher Romeike, with music composed by Fraser MacDougall and Michael White of Imprint Music. Shot over three years, "Invisible City" is an intimate portrait of two boys crossing into adulthood with mothers and mentors rooting for them to succeed, but an environment luring them to poor choices. Amid the pressures of high school and harsh realities, their voices express angst, alienation, hopefulness and understanding.
