BBC Renews Toronto's "Copper"

BBC America has renewed the Toronto-lensed, New York set, circa 1864 police drama series "Copper" for a second season.

The first original TV series from BBC America stars Tom Weston-Jones and Kevin Ryan as Irish-American coppers working the 'Five Points'  lower Manhattan beat, alongside thieves, hookers and lots of scruffy-looking male characters with long hair.

Cast also includes Anastasia Griffith, Ato Essandoh and Franka Potente.
