"RoboCop" @ the University Of Toronto


Sneak Peek more new set photos from the ongoing Toronto-shoot of "RoboCop", filming @ the University of Toronto, including a scene where 'Alex Murphy', the new 'RoboCop' is first introduced to the public.


Pictures also reveal actor Michael Keaton as 'OmniCorp CEO Raymond Sellars', Murphy's partner 'Lewis' (Michael Kenneth Williams) and his wife 'Ellen' (Abbie Cornish).



Directed by José Padilha’s, the MGM and Columbia Pictures' feature is a 'remake' of director Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 feature "RoboCop". 



"RoboCop" also stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman,  Samuel L. Jackson,  Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.



"...in 'RoboCop', the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate 'OmniCorp' is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. 'Alex Murphy' (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before..."



In addition to being a satirical action film and introducing the world to 'Bob Morton', the original 1987 "RoboCop" included larger themes regarding the media, gentrification and corruption, spawning action figures, two sequels, a television series, two animated TV series, a television mini-series, video games and comic book adaptations.
