"Suicide Squad" Filming Updates

Confirming our initial reports from last month, Warners have booked a studio location, start date and cast updates for their "Dirty Dozen"-like superhero feature "Suicide Squad", adapting the DC Comics series:

"...Warner Bros. and director David Ayer ("Fury") will start principal photography April 2015 in Toronto, @ Pinewood Toronto Studios, with filming throughout the city until September. Production title will be "Bravo 14", with a cast including two-time Oscar nominee Will Smith as 'Deadshot, Tom Hardy as 'Rick Flagg', Margot Robbie as 'Harley Quinn', Viola Davis as 'Amanda Waller', Oscar winner Jared Leto as the 'Joker', Jai Courtney as 'Boomerang' and Cara Delevingne as 'Enchantress'.

Actress Margot Robbie plays 'Harley Quinn', a psychotic female character, that originally debuted in television's "Batman: The Animated Series".

"...'Harley Quinn' aka 'Dr. Harleen Quinzel', was an 'Arkham Asylum' psychiatrist who became obsessed with 'The Joker' while treating him. 

"Ultimately, she became his assistant, engaging in a psychologically and physically-abusive relationship..."

The character first appeared as live-action, played by actress Mia Sara in the "Birds of Prey" TV series...

...plus as a 'Deranged Female Inmate' played by Cassidy Alexa and voiced by Tara Strong on The CW's "Arrow".
