Toronto Production Hits $1.23 Billion



According to a recent City Of Toronto report, screen-based production hit a record $1.23 billion in 2014, with an emphasis on domestic film/TV on-location shooting:


"...production on Global's 'Rookie Blue' and Space's 'Orphan Black' helped lead Canadian and co-production activity in Toronto last year to a record $652 million, up 21% from 2013 levels. 

"The overall amount of foreign and domestic TV production in the city in 2014 was up 3.7% to $757.4 million, or 100 series in all, as Toronto also hosted shoots for FX's 'The Strain' and Bravo's 'Suits'..."
