According to reports, the upcoming Global TV drama "Copper", set to start production in Toronto, June 2009 has been picked up by the US ABC TV network.
"Copper" is described as a 'character-driven workplace drama' about five rookie police officers plunged into the high stakes world of big city policing.
The new series was co-created by Tassie Cameron, co-executive producer of CTV's Toronto-shot "Flashpoint," which was picked up last year by CBS.
CTV's new Toronto-lensed crime drama "The Bridge" has also been picked up by CBS, while CTV's "The Listener," about a telepathic paramedic, is set to air on NBC...
