"Horizon" Prepping Toronto Start

Casting is underway for director Yves Simoneau's USA Network science fiction TV pilot "Horizon", prepping for an August 2013 start in Toronto under the supervision of an executive producer from AMC's "The Walking Dead".

Written and co-produced by Bridget Tyler, "Horizon" was developed by Gale Anne Hurd, creative force with James Cameron of the original "Terminator" and current executive producer of AMC's "The Walking Dead".

"...the project is set at the height of World War II, when women entered the workforce.

"A Washington secretary at the FBI starts a secretive investigation into files that have been stamped with the codename 'HORIZON'. She discovers that the clandestine project has something to do with the death of her husband who was killed during a battle with a space ship in the South Pacific (?!)

"What she doesn't know is that it has aroused the interest of undercover Axis spies working in the US, as she becomes the only person standing between Earth and an alien invasion."...

Simoneau directed "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" (2007), winning five TV Emmy Awards including 'Outstanding Made For Television Movie'.

The pilot films August 6-30, 2013.
